Google have recently announced that website speed will play an increasingly important role in their search algorithm. Despite keeping the exact details under wraps, Google has revealed that the speed revision to their algorithm is based on around 200 separate factors.
The search engine usually makes around 300 – 400 changes to its algorithm each year. Most of these changes are on a small scale and Google only tends to make large or significant changes public.
